Lyrics for the Labyrinth: Poems of Discontent

Once upon a time, I wrote some poems. I do not know why I was so moved, but I was. As music: it takes a certain kind of emotional state to cause the music to emerge. Is it like this for others? As I re-read these poems I experience embarrassment and wry understanding. The feeling reminds me of a quote about love I read once: “Where love is, no disguise can hide it for long; where it is not, none can simulate it.” La Rochefoucauld These are true for the kinds of courtships that may end in pairing, but it is the aftermath of pairing, the period after the baby is born, after the initial steam has cleared, that becomes more interesting to me. What the above implies is a designer mating game which can induce copulation and therefore progeny. What happens if life suggests r that the current person is not “it.” 245 pages with drawings by the author ISBN: 978-1-7356226-1-3
